Desktop Case
Will opening the case on my new dell desktop void the warranty?
I just got my new desktop and they missed a screw on the Dvd-rom drive so one side is loose. If i open it up and put a screw in will it void the warranty?
I cant find anything in the book that says it will and there is no sticker on the case that says it will.
I know you don't know you have to tell them you opened it buy my old computer had a place you could check on either control panel or my computer that would say it was opened. How it recognized it I have no idea.
No. Opening the case on your desktop will most certainly NOT void the warranty. You can even swap out components at your fancy and the warranty will still be honored, though only on the components that originally shipped in the PC.
Make sure you ground yourself before touching any components. Static electricity can zap a motherboard.
