Fan Heatsink
Can I use a fan, that is bigger than my heatsink for my CPU ?
I have an AMD 5200 cpu, which has a heatsink, and attatched fan which is proportional to the size of the heatsink. Could i use a different fan, ever so slightly bigger than the heatsink?
will this have any adverse effect on cooling?
The question is, can u safely mount it to the HS so it won't fall off and it isn't obstructed?
If so there should be no problem assuming the airflow is => the the one being replaced.
Just because a fan is bigger does not mean the airflow is => than a smaller one.
