Dell Poweredge
I was wondering if I could use a Dell PowerEdge 2500 server as a home computer.?
It was given to me in good condition but it does not have any hard drives.
it does not have a hard drive.
Could i just install Windows XP on it or would I have to use a special version or different operating system?
I cant find any drivers specifically for windows XP any help wood be greatly appreciated.
You can use it but you will probably have to download some specific drivers from Dell in order to make it work properly. I have done the same thing with a PowerEdge 400SC, it was setup to dual boot between Windows XP and Server 2003. I had to get the drivers for the controller from Dell for it to work under XP.
