Whats a graphics adapter? Whats an graphics controller? Can they all play games?
Graphics Card and Graphics Adapter are essentially the same thing. Graphic Controller is the main part of the graphics card. Without the controller the card is useless. the graphics controller can be on the card or on the motherboard. Some motherboards have on board graphics.
They can all be used to play games, but graphics card are better. Since they will have a certain memory on the card for the processing of graphics and not use the system memory. the card will do most of the work allowing the main processor and memory to worry about other things. You will definitely notice the difference. Especially some of the latest games need high powered graphics card for it to perform without any problems.
